<p>We launched a new version of the Stanford home page today. It&#8217;s not a full redesign but it does have some new features including:</p>
<ul>
<li>News banner &#8211; strong photography showcasing the best of Stanford</li>
<li>&#8220;Stanford in Pictures&#8221; slideshow link (the old banner used to link to the slideshow)</li>
<li>New footer with white text on a red background (old footer was black on white)</li>

As the newest member of the <a title="Stanford Web Team" href="http://ucomm.stanford.edu/webteam/">Web Team</a>, I will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of a number of prominent websites including the <a title="Stanford University" href="http://stanford.edu">University homepage</a>, <a title="Stanford News" href="http://news.stanford.edu">News</a> and <a title="Stanford Events" href="http://events.stanford.edu">Events</a>.
